Helix Semiconductors
Helix Semiconductors was founded in 2012 and spent the first few years developing and perfecting the MuxCapacitor™ and its associated patented capacitive isolation method, CapIso™. The fabless chip company holds 44 patents in the areas of DC-DC conversion, AC-DC conversion, and other supporting technologies in power supplies and converters, specializing in voltage and power conversion and providing fully isolated ICs in the capacitive field. MuxCap™ and CapIso enable the highest efficiency of any power module, sometimes an order of magnitude higher than traditional winding-based power converters, especially at low to medium loads or in standby and vampire modes. Helix Semiconductors has received multiple industry recognitions for its unique winding-less voltage conversion technology, which enables power module manufacturers to achieve the highest power density in their market, sometimes 5 times or more than their competitors. The MxC200 family of products is now in volume production with multiple derivative devices, development and evaluation modules, and reference designs. They have design engineering offices in Irvine, CA and Colorado Springs, CO.
