Lauritz Knudsen
In 1893, the eponymous company founder, Lauritz Knudsen, left his hometown of Odense to found his own manufacturer of ultra-high-temperature and chronometers in Copenhagen. Lauritz Knudsen quickly realized that electricity would fundamentally change society, and he invested early on in the development and production of electrical installation equipment. To this day, it remains the main area of business for Lauritz Knudsen, also known as LK.
