TESA
The success story of tesa began with the development of an adhesive bandage. Paul C. Beiersdorf, a pharmacist and founder of the company, was working on this bandage when Dr. Oscar Troplowitz took over his laboratory in 1890. It adhered very well but was irritating to the skin. Troplowitz had to make the necessary improvements and in 1896 he launched the first professional self-adhesive tape.
