RENA was founded as a family business by Ren Geerts in 1981. He initially focused on the electronic control of light and sound installations, such as illuminated disco floors. Soon, controlling lights and music was complemented by controlling other professional equipment in sectors such as the medical industry, the food industry, agriculture and horticulture.
