XaLogic was founded in 2017 with a mission to bring machine learning to the edge. With the explosion of data collected by the proliferation of IoT devices, we can no longer send all the data to the cloud for storage and processing. The constant high-bandwidth connection and longer latency required for cloud processing hinders real-time applications that need to make decisions instantly. Since most of the data is useless, we need an efficient way to process and store only the meaningful data for further analysis. Moving to the edge can also alleviate security and privacy issues, as sensitive data such as biometric data can be processed without being sent to the cloud.
