Portasol
In 1984, the distinctive orange "Technic" was the first pocket-sized portable soldering iron to be introduced to the market, and service personnel and technicians around the world were suddenly given the freedom of being able to solder points in the field without the need to plug into an electrical outlet. Following on from the original innovation of the "Technic", Portasol quickly built on this success by introducing professional irons, adding accessories such as hot blows and hot knife tips, and producing the first heat tool kit. Portasol has become a world leader in the field and produces a wide range of gas powered soldering irons and heat tool kits. The Super-Pro is a favourite in the automotive aftermarket, with features such as flameless hot blows for heat shrink tubing; a built-in blowtorch and hot knife.
