Nvidia Corporation
NVIDIA (Nvidia Corporation, /ɛnˈvɪdiə/; translated as Huida in Taiwan and Hong Kong, translated as Yingweida in mainland China), founded in January 1993, is a fabless semiconductor company that mainly designs and sells graphics processors. NVIDIA also designs game console cores, such as Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. NVIDIAs most famous product lines are the GeForce series designed for individuals and gamers, the Quadro series designed for professional CGI workstations, and the Tesla series designed for servers and high-efficiency computing. Although it started out in the graphics card business for PC computers, NVIDIA was also involved in the design of mobile chips Tegra, but the smartphone market did not respond much. However, in recent years, it has used these R&D experiences and is currently developing towards the artificial intelligence and machine vision markets. It is also the inventor of CUDA, an important development tool for graphics processors.
