NSF Ltd
In 1932, the Nuremberg Company of Germany opened the British NSF Ltd import company. Initially, British NSF manufactured screws, military communications and receivers, and small aircraft parts. At the outbreak of World War II, NSF Ltd. was placed under the British governments custodian of enemy property. During this period, the factory was bombed in a German air raid, killing 30 employees. The aircraft production division relocated many of the factories to the north of England, where it was safer. NSF Ltd opens in Dalton Lane, Keighley with 20 staff relocating from Croydon. In 1946 NSF Ltd moves to the Ingrow Bridgeworks factory where 70 years later the company is still standing, having survived three fires, strikes and a number of mergers in its early years.
