TY-OHM
"Taiwan develops and researches high-tech, high-quality parts, while Chinese factories provide mass-produced, competitive products to end users." TY-OHM was founded in 1958 as a pioneer resistor manufacturer in Taiwan. We first manufactured carbon film and low-end wirewound resistors. In 1970, we established a joint venture with Japan Resistor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (JRM) to produce metal oxide film and high-end wirewound resistors. In 1975, we had another technical cooperation with an American company called Kidco to obtain how to manufacture precision metal film resistors with 1% tolerance. In 1985, we developed resistor networks and fusible resistors; chip resistors and SMD components of chip resistor networks were launched in 1992. The latest power SMD resistors were introduced to customers in 2001.
