Coto Technologys relay design lab and corporate offices are located along the scenic Narragansett Coast in Kingston, Rhode Island, U.S.A. From coil windings and reed relays to reed switches, solid state relays and TMR-based sensors, Coto has become a market leader in product quality and design innovation. Coto Technologys reed relay and reed switch manufacturing facility is located in Mexicali, Mexico. Coto Technology, Inc. originated in Providence, Rhode Island, USA in 1917 as Coto Coil Incorporated - a company that specialized in the design and manufacture of coil windings. In the mid-1960s, Coto expanded its product line with the introduction of reed relays - integrating a reed switch into the coil winding. By 1970, Coto became a leading manufacturer of reed relays with the development of the first patented low thermal EMF reed relay. Coto went on to produce the first surface mount reed relays in 1983, the worlds smallest SMD reed relay in 1994, and the first patented reed relay in 2001, with performance of &> 8 GHz.
