NewAE Technology Inc. is a Canadian company that is revolutionizing the hardware security market by making every engineer and designer aware of side-channel power analysis and glitches as important attack vectors. NewAE Technology Inc. is dedicated to providing tools for performing embedded hardware security research and making them widely available by reducing costs and keeping designs open. NewAE Technology Inc. hopes to fundamentally change the ecosystem of embedded development by making all engineers aware of the theoretical and practical issues of side-channel power analysis and fault attacks. ChipWhiskey was developed as part of Colin OFlynns PhD research into embedded hardware security. He created an open source project that provides a standardized capture tool for testing new analysis algorithms as well as countermeasures. While there is considerable interest in these tools, most researchers are not interested in spending a lot of time building their own tools, preferring to purchase low-cost solutions. ChipWhisperer is an open source project, which means anyone can build it. To protect our customers, New AE Technologies owns the ChipWhisperer trademark and prohibits other companies from selling devices under the ChipWhisperer name. This guarantees that when you purchase an official ChipWhisperer device, you are receiving a thoroughly in-house tested device, and you are supporting future development of the open source software that runs ChipWhisperer. NewAE Technologies manufactures and sells its own products, including Chip Whisper and ® Chip. ® Mouser Electronics carries the entire NewAE Technologies product line, providing convenient service to customers around the world. Many of our products are manufactured in Nova Scotia by local contractors, and all final assembly and testing is completed by NewAE Technologies to ensure consistent quality.
