NeoCortec
NeoCortec was founded in 2007 to develop and patent several innovations related to wireless sensor networks. The founders realized early on that there was a lack of new thinking and research in the field of wireless sensor networks - it seemed that all efforts to date were based on approaches related to the IP protocol. The founders insisted that the IP protocol was not suitable for the field of wireless sensor networks. They claimed that it was possible to make large-scale routing protocols run in real time, so there was no need for network managers, etc., and all the while significantly reducing power consumption. As a result, today, NeoCortec is the world’s smallest supplier of ultra-low power two-way wireless mesh networking modules. These modules come with the proprietary NeoCortec protocol stack, which is the result of the company’s early R&D activities. NeoCortec is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark and Nakhon Si Alam, Thailand. NeoCortec is owned by A/S Holger Petersen Holding, a Danish private equity fund. A/S Holger Petersen Holding has received a AAA credit rating from Dun && Bradstreet.
