MoSys, Inc.
MoSys, Inc. has been developing memory-based products for nearly 20 years. The company started with the development of 1-T (transistor) memory IP. 1 T-SRAM has access speeds close to SRAM, but supports densities close to RLDRAM. Most memory manufacturers focus on either speed or density of memory and think one size fits all. As part of MoSys memory evolution, common tasks done in many systems were identified and added to the memory as memory built-in features to speed up execution. This created the Accelerator Engine family. These accelerator engines are large, high-speed memories that are now optionally available with in-memory accelerator functions, depending on the application that requires a higher level of performance. Each accelerator engine is a versatile combination of: 1) 576 Mb or 1.152 Gb high-capacity memory with a tRC of 3.2 ns; 2) high-speed embedded in-memory functions (intelligence), including BURST and RMW; 3) high-bandwidth RTL controllers provided by MoSys. The Blazar family of accelerator engines provides system architects/designers with acceleration options that include both software and hardware options not available in any competitive offering.
