I-PEX
On July 10, 1963, Akira Konishi invented a modular system (full partition structure, full heat treatment, full hardening after precision processing) for the production of precision molds in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, and established Dai-ichi Seiko Co., Ltd. The molds of this period were "high-performance quenching molds". These molds were made for electronic computers, integrated circuits, and suppliers of automobiles, televisions, communication equipment, etc. During this period, we earned a good reputation for manufacturing high-quality and high-precision molds. As a result, we successfully won many orders for precision molds and established a solid business foundation not only in Japan, but also in other countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Singapore. Our development far exceeded the initial business plan. In order to continuously improve our technology, we invested in training engineers and asked them to go to the United States, where mold manufacturing technology was the most advanced at the time.
