Arlec
With a dynamic and evolving inventory of hundreds of high-quality, consumer-based products, Arlec sells millions of products each year and is found in nearly every home and workplace across Australia. Initially, Arlec operated under two company banners, A&&R Electronic Equipment Pty Ltd and A&&R Transformers Pty Ltd. Both entities were registered in 1947 by founding principle Mr DK Anderson (a qualified electrical engineer) and business partner Mr A.Roudi. Much of the companys early activity involved transformer manufacturing to meet the electricity needs of a growing post-war population. By 1950, the success of the business expansion led to a relocation to larger premises at 378 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, which served as its manufacturing and administrative headquarters for a decade.
