Shenzhen HuaDa BeiDou Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huada BeiDou") was born out of the navigation chip design business of China Electronics Information Industry Group Co., Ltd. (CEC), a Fortune 500 company. It was jointly invested and established on December 6, 2016 by China Electronics Optics Valley, Shanghai Automotive Group, Beijing Automotive Group, Bird Co., Ltd. (600130), Jinjia Co., Ltd. (002191) and other companies. The founder is Sun Zhongliang. Headquartered in Shenzhen, it is a national high-tech enterprise, Shenzhen high-tech enterprise, Zhongguancun high-tech enterprise, and a key enterprise in the weak link of the industrial chain introduced by the Shenzhen Municipal Government in 2016. At the same time, the Academician (Expert) Workstation led by Academician Sun Jiadong and the Guangdong BeiDou Satellite Navigation and Positioning Technology Engineering Technology Research Center are also located here. On November 1, 2019, HuaDa BeiDou announced the completion of its Series A financing, with investors including CMB International Capital, CEC CICC, Gree Capital Investment and AVIC Industrial Investment. On May 25, 2021, HGI BeiDou successfully completed its B round of strategic financing, led by CPE Yuanfeng, followed by Yunfeng Fund, CSSC Capital, TCL Capital, Jiangling Motors Investment, and other investors. Existing investors CDH Investment, CMB International, TusPark, and AVIC Industrial Investment further invested. On March 7, 2022, based on the B round of financing, the company once again completed a C round of financing of several hundred million yuan. This round of financing was participated in by well-known investment institutions and industrial parties such as CDB Science and Technology Innovation, Greater Bay Area Fund, and Research and Investment Fund, and old shareholders such as TusPark further invested. In 2022, HGI BeiDou was awarded the title of a national-level specialized and innovative "little giant" enterprise.
