TDK-EPCOS
EPCOS is a member of the TDK Group . It focuses on the fast-growing cutting-edge technology markets in information and communication technology as well as consumer, automotive and industrial electronics. It provides a full range of components, modules and systems, and provides a variety of products for processing electrical signals, protecting electronic circuits and ensuring trouble-free operation of equipment for electronic products, including capacitors, ferrites and inductors, high-frequency components and modules, piezoelectric and protection devices, and sensors. Its predecessor was Siemens Matsushita Components, which was established in Munich , Germany in 1989. Its main markets are in the fields of communications, consumer, automotive and industrial electronics. On October 1, 2009, EPCOS merged with the TDK Components Division and was managed by TDK-EPC Corporation (TDK-EPC) in Japan. From the end of October 2009, TDK-EPC Corporation and its affiliated TDK companies held all the shares of EPCOS. As a result of this merger, EPCOS ceased to be listed on all German stock exchanges from November 2009 .
