Sfernice / Vishay
Vishay Sfernice products include wirewound fixed resistors, metal film, thick film and thin film technologies, as well as a wide range of variable resistors. The wide range of variable products includes variable resistors and motion sensors, many of which are certified to CECC/UTE/NF or MIL specifications. Metal ceramic and conductive plastic technologies are deployed and are available in single-turn or multi-turn styles. The range of motion sensors includes single-turn, rotary and linear sensors, which are used in military, aerospace, automotive, off-road, medical, measurement, robotics, nuclear energy and general industrial applications. For applications in harsh environments that require extremely long life and a large number of cycles, our product range includes a series of contactless devices using Hall effect technology. Vishay Sfernice long-life panel potentiometers, with service lives ranging from 500,000 cycles to 2 million cycles, improve reliability in critical applications, reduce the need for replacement parts, and reduce maintenance costs. Vishay Sfernice also offers a wide range of power thick film resistors that can be mounted on a heat sink or PCB. Their available power dissipation ranges from 5 W to over 800 W. These products typically feature a high power-to-volume/weight ratio, no inductance, low tolerances, a wide ohmic range, and high overload capability. High-reliability components are a key feature of the Vishay Sfernice product line. The technology developed to manufacture these components was jointly evaluated by the National Center for Space Studies (CNES) and ESA/SCC. These devices are rigorously tested during and after manufacturing.
