Selco
SELCO has its origins in the Danish switchgear manufacturer Lauritz Knudsen A/S, who in 1960 were the first in the world to protect generators using rugged solid-state electronics! In 1968, Lauritz Knudsen A/S merged with another large switchgear manufacturer, NES. For the next decade, the company was named LK-NES. The early product line of generator control and alarm systems was marketed under the name NESELCO. In 1984, SELCO was founded. In order to obtain the right environment for further growth, SELCO moved to new and larger premises in Roskilde, Denmark in 2005. This became the headquarters for administration, R&D, production and sales&&marketing. At that time, SELCO already had subsidiaries and many local partners, with established customer relationships in more than 80 countries around the world. SELCO was acquired by Littlefors in 2011. Five years later, in March 2016, SELCO underwent a management buyout and is now privately owned again with headquarters in Roskilde, Denmark.
