SanDisk, formerly known as SunDisk, is an American multinational corporation that designs and sells flash memory products. It was founded in 1988 by Eli Harari and non-volatile memory technology expert Sanjay Mehrotra and listed on NASDAQ in November 1995. SanDisk produces many different types of flash memory, including a variety of memory cards and a series of USB flash drives. SanDisk sells both high-end and low-end flash memory. SanDisk is headquartered in Milpitas, California, and has offices and production facilities around the world, such as its European headquarters in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.
