Qimonda
Qimonda AG is a new memory company formed on May 1, 2006 by spinning off Infineon Technologies. It was once the worlds second largest DRAM company[1], a leader in the 300mm industry, and one of the largest suppliers of DRAM products for personal computers and servers. Qimonda is headquartered in Munich, Germany, with net sales of $4.89 billion and earnings before interest and taxes of $259 million in fiscal 2006. On January 23, 2009, due to poor performance, the company filed for bankruptcy protection and subsequently liquidated its assets. Corporate regeneration began in April 2009.
