AMPROBE
Amprobe began life in 1948 on Long Island, New York, as Pyramid Instrument Company. Amprobes first products were the inductive clamp meters "Amprobe" and the company received its first patent in July 1950. The Amprobe name became synonymous with clamp meters, so much so that in 1999 the company name was officially changed to Amprobe Instruments, Inc. Amprobe continued to design, manufacture and distribute products from its Lynbrook, New York location until late 2006 when it merged into ATP and relocated to South Florida. Amprobe was acquired by Danaher Corporation and moved its world headquarters to Everett, Washington.
