Shanghai Nicela Sensor Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established in 1986 by Defu Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. of Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nippon Ceramics Co., Ltd. with a total investment of RMB 148 million. Shanghai Nicela Sensor Co., Ltd. adheres to the concept of low carbon and environmental protection, and is committed to the research and development and production of products in the fields of intelligent sensors, security precautions, energy-saving lighting, etc., to contribute to the gradually emerging Internet of Things. The company mainly develops, produces and sells pyroelectric infrared sensors, ultrasonic sensors, Hall devices, filters and various sensor applications. Products are sold to many countries and regions such as Europe, America, and Japan. Shanghai Nicela Sensor Co., Ltd. has been rated as a national advanced enterprise with "double excellence" in foreign exchange and profit earning by the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment for many years. In 1991, it was approved by the Shanghai Municipal Government as a "double intensive" enterprise with both technology-intensive and knowledge-intensive characteristics. In 1995, it was recognized as a high-tech enterprise. In 1995, it passed the ISO9002 quality system international certification conducted by the French International Quality Certification Co., Ltd. (BVQI), and in 2000, it passed the ISO14001 environmental management system certification. The relevant products also obtained the US UL certification. In October 2002, it passed the ISO9001 (2000 version) quality system international certification.
